This four-year project treats urban mobility not just as a set of data, but as a complex physical system.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to embed artificial intelligence directly into urban infrastructure, from transport networks to critical accessibility nodes, to enable real-time intelligent management and dynamic optimisation. The project aims to move from theory to real decision-making platforms that make cities more sustainable and adaptive.<\/p>\n<p>The project is coordinated by Jos\u00e9 Luis Moura and Luigi dell&#8217;Olio from the Universidad de Cantabria. The other partners are the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, with Mar\u00eda Eugenia L\u00f3pez-Lambas and Julio A. Soria-Lara (TRANSyT-UPM); the Universidad de Granada, with Juan de O\u00f1a; and the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia, represented by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/ficha-personal\/anjuape\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1ngel A. Juan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upv.es\/ficha-personal\/elpeber\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elena P\u00e9rez Bernabeu<\/a> from CIGIP&#8217;s ICSO Meta group.<\/p>\n<p>URBAN-IA is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities under its 2025 artificial intelligence research call.
