International recognition for researchers from the Alcoy campus<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Beatriz Andres, doctoral student, and Ra\u00fal Poler, Professor at the UPV, belong to the Production Management and Engineering Research Center of the Alcoi Campus.<\/p>

This is the fifth international recognition received for the research carried out by two researchers from the Higher Polytechnic School of Alcoy.<\/p>

Beatriz Andr\u00e9s, doctoral student, and Ra\u00fal Poler, University Professor at the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia, belong to the Center for Research in Production Management and Engineering (CIGIP), and have been awarded at the international conference \u201cXXI International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management\u201d, \u201cXIX Congress of Organizational Engineering\u201d and \u201cInternational IIE Conference 2015\u201d (ICIEOM-CIO-IIE 2015), held on July 6-8 in the Portuguese city of Aveiro.<\/p>

Andr\u00e9s and Poler achieved recognition in the article presented at the Doctoral Seminar held at the ICIEOM-CIO-IIE 2015 conference. In the article, titled \u201cModelling the Strategies Alignment Process in the Collaborative Network context\u201d, they present the complete approach that allows addressing the collaborative process of strategy alignment. The complete proposed approach supports Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in making decisions about which strategies to activate, among all the strategies formulated by the partners of a collaborative network, so that they are aligned. The lack of alignment of the strategies activated by the companies belonging to a collaborative network can lead to a contradictory situation. So, if there is no alignment, the strategies activated by a company, which positively influence the objectives defined in the same company, can negatively influence the objectives defined in the other companies in the network. This lack of alignment generates non-collaborative behavior between companies, ultimately leading to failure in collaboration and dissolution of the collaborative network. Precisely, the contribution proposed by Andres and Poler allows companies to address the lack of alignment of strategies, through the identification of alienated strategies. Thus promoting sustainable and stable collaborative relationships within the collaborative network of companies.<\/p>

This represents the last of five international recognitions obtained at the mercy of the work developed in the area of collaborative networks, within the field of study of the iNet\u2022IMS Intellygent Non-Hierarchical Networks initiative.<\/p>

This recognition highlights, once again, the quality of the research being developed at the Production Management and Engineering Research Center (CIGIP) on the Alcoi Campus of the UPV.<\/p>
