Production Engineering and Management Research Center
The origins of CIGIP date back to 1990 with the R&D&I group in Production Management and Engineering (GIP) of the Department of Business Organization. Since then, CIGIP has developed more than 120 R&D&I projects and 150 contracts with companies. It has created a spin-off (Exos Solutions) and maintains a network of more than 300 partners.
We develop our activity in R&D&I projects, technology transfer to companies and advanced postgraduate training in the area of Organizational Engineering and Logistics.
A multidisciplinary team formed by professors attached to the Departments of Business Organization and Applied Statistics and Operations Research and Quality of the Universitat Politècnica de València, research staff and PhD students.

The governing bodies of CIGIp are those established in its regulations approved by the Agreement of the Governing Council of the UPV, being the following: the unipersonal bodies composed of the Director of CIGIP (the management, representation and administration body) and the secretary; and the collegiate bodies composed of the Scientific-Technical Council of CIGIP (it is the highest management body of CIGIP and is made up of the Director, the Secretary and a representative of each of the Research Units of CIGIP.
The Vision of the CIGIP Research Center is to increase its R&D&I capacity, oriented to customers1 , increasing human resources and products/services generated and transferred, maintaining participation in publicly funded research for R&D and increasing efforts in development and innovation with companies and organizations, and carrying out actions of diffusion and dissemination of its capabilities based on advanced postgraduate training.
The mission of the CIGIP Research Center is to collaborate in the development of society in the area of Production Management and Engineering, through its lines of research, acting within the framework of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, becoming a national and international reference.
