The MASAI Project: Innovation for Sustainable Manufacturing

The MASAI project, coordinated by the Universitat Politècnica de València, in collaboration with our institute and the companies CETECK TECNOLÓGICA, S.L. and EXOS SOLUTIONS, S.L., aims to boost sustainable manufacturing processes from both an environmental and social perspective, through the use of intelligent applications.

This project, framed within the same call, seeks to develop innovative solutions that help companies manufacture more sustainably, considering two fundamental pillars of sustainability: the environmental and the social.

Environmental Sustainability

In the environmental field, MASAI focuses on the development of advanced tools that allow companies to:

  • To measure the environmental impact of its production processes.
  • Detect energy efficiency losses in the use of energy resources.
  • To predict the environmental impact of your activities over time, with the objective of efficiently managing energy consumption and minimizing your ecological footprint.

Social Sustainability

In the social aspect, the project is committed to creating safer, healthier, and more collaborative work environments. The developed solutions seek:

  • Improve operational efficiency.
  • Foster staff well-being and participation.
  • Promote continuous training to increase talent retention.

Key Technologies

MASAI uses several advanced technologies to achieve these objectives, including:

  • Integrated digital monitoring: allows real-time collection and analysis of key operational information.
  • Digital Twin: facilitates the creation of a virtual replica of production systems, allowing the integration of data from multiple sources and the use of analytical functions to prevent and correct problems affecting sustainability.
  • Artificial Intelligence and advanced language models: allow analyzing communications in natural language and detecting opportunities to improve work quality.

Thanks to the combination of these technologies, MASAI seeks to transform industrial manufacturing, making it more efficient, responsible, and aligned with the principles of environmental and social sustainability.
